2009 is over..2010 begins.

The Marauders are already done with 2009 and on to 2010.

The family is growing...l have already got a large amount of guys commited to next years run. Desmond Thompson takes the #75 he always wanted. Marco is back...the LB has unfinished business...Serge is back if he doesn't turn pro...Baiden is the man..and there are countlees others that have to either cut weight or gain weight. The Marauders will be putting together a indoor team and this will be our off season camp as well.

The Marauders will be getting together for a team outing in September . we are going to an Argo game as a group , details will follow.

The banquet will be also in September so make sure you are ready to have a bit of fun.

The 2010 Marauder will be putting forth a proposal to once again move to Burlington. The new name will be revealed at the AGM after we all meet and decided the new name...l'm leaning to the 'ORANGE'...but l'm bias .

lets start the season right...travel will be taken care of next year...no more poor showings on the road.

hey all, the Mighty D' t-shirts will be available at the Championship game....just kidding but l'm sure we could sell a few based on the emails l'm getting.

LETS ROLL BABY...2010 WILL be the year ....BURLINGTON gets a new team...Yeah baby!!!!!!

Thursday at Nelson . equipment turn in 8pm to 9pm.

Thursday is the day...last week we had the tornado so although it was terrible weather the turn out was pretty good. lets get the business done so we can move on to other stuff. the Marauders moved forward this year with a stronger showing than the year before but we still did not achieve what we wanted...l look forward to the 2010 version of this team...no BS..no cry babies ...just ballers.

am l the best coach..no...will l get more talented coaches ..yes...we have a good base but we need more..l'll make sure we do.

so....the Sault won it all...congrats to them. They are the team that most resembles a TEAM in this league. l feel proud that we at least beat them once which only makes us hopeful for the future..the way we ended our season was very disappointing but at least l feel great that when we played them with our full squad we beat them...but we all know stats and comments like that are for losers.

l know a few things about football and l know that if you are not the champs you are just like the rest of us...don't get excited over being one of the losers...just know you need to work harder next year. l will say that although we had a decent season l'm glad that we are the ONLY team to beat them this year...and l would have loved to see if we could have beaten the 2nd place finisher as well... having two missed extra points and a rouge by them to lose by 3 makes me feel that we are closer to the powerhouses then they would like to admit.

but then again these are the ramblings of teams and coaches of people not getting it done...

lets end this a quote from one of my idols..

'HEY HEY HEY..at least you beat the Sault...thats something no one else could do''

that rhymed..hahahaha..life is good...why , because the best TEAM won....just like it should be. The football gods always make things right.

Crazy Coacho is out...see you in a few.

We lost...Badly but l love the heart.

the final score was...a whole bunch to nothing.

59-0 was the final...

the Sault team is good and the deserved to win...we showed a ton of heart but in the end we brought a popsicle stick to a gun fight. l would have loved to see our full team take them on but with guys going to the pros and others with prior commitments we just did not have the players that beat the Steelers a few weeks ago.

Players stepped up..our QB on the weekend didn't know he was going to play until it was obvious that our two other QB couldn't make it. only 4 starters on defense...a handful on offense...and a ton of guys who didn't get much time all year that were pressed into playing.

l still believe that on any given day we can beat anyone in this league...but this weekend we were over matched . We lost...no crying over spilt milk here....l'm a man and l take my lumps .

the guys who came to play have my upmost respect...you did me proud. ( we may have lost but we looked better then them...these are things you say when you get smoked...)

to all the guys who couldn't make it....it's a shame that after the hard work ...time...money ,that we all put in that we did not have a true showing of what kind of team we were.

l am so disappointed about this....it makes my stomach turn. l have gone through a ton for this team...and l will do even more. l will get the help the Marauders will need to move from a strong team to a consistent team that is always in the hunt.

l am proud to be a Marauder.

this Thursday at 8pm at Nelson we will do the final wrap up...the equipment return and uniform return forms will be given out.

first step survive...next step make playoffs...next step win a playoff game....next step win it all.....( three down one to go)

in November we are meeting for our fall clinic...new uniforms....new logo....new attitude.

if you don't have heart....you won't be a Marauder next year.

see you on Thursday at Nelson 8-9pm. 9pm we go eat and get a soda.....GINGER ALE for everyone.

Friday, August 14, 2009

yeah he looks good....Go HOOD..

you can boast about who is on your team.....but Marauders are everywhere...

What they are saying....

so this is what they wanted....a chance to atone for the 'mistake' they made by losing to us....hahahahaha come on man, you just got beat by a better team that day.

here it is...enjoy.

by the way..Damo hasn't played for Oakville in years..but thanks for making it seems as if we only got better with CFL guys and Oakville guys....by the way, we are all MARAUDERS , get it straight. why don't these guys ever do research ...it would take 5 minutes to get some facts...oh well...lets go have some fun.

Steelers home to Milton in Round 2
Visitors feature receivers who played pro in the CFL

Part of a seasonal session with sportswriter Randy Russon and Sault Steelers head coach Barry Rushon.

RUSSON: Well Coach, it's one down, two to go. The Steelers have taken the first step towards winning the Northern Football Conference championship with a 51-0 opening-round playoff win over the Kingston Privateers.

RUSHON: Exactly that Randy, a first step. The next game will be extremely tough as it now will be played against the upper echelon. All four remaining teams are capable of winning the NFC crown and it will come down to who can get their game on a roll with the confidence of all teammates and mesh this confidence with good, old- fashioned work ethic. The teams that can do this will be in the NFC title game.

•••

RUSSON: I would think it'll be tougher from here on in. Fill us in on what can be expected from your second-round playoff opponent.

RUSHON: The Milton Marauders will be our opponent and they are a quality football team. They had the notoriety of being the only team to beat us this year so I know I speak for our players when I say we are glad to host them and get an opportunity to atone for our previous mistake. They are a well-balanced team that uses the run very well with George Baiden their main man carrying the ball on an average of 25 times per game. Their receiving corps has two all-stars in Josh Earls who has outstanding speed and Damian Hannaford who came over from the Oakville Longhorns when they folded this year. Their defense is led by all-star linebacker Craig Davoren who just may be the most physical linebacker in the league. We also have to be aware of their great special teams play as they have a couple of real burners in Earls and Jon Hood who spent some time playing pro in the Canadian Football League.

•••

RUSSON: So it's another home playoff game this Saturday at Rocky DiPietro Field. Maybe some good weather for a change?

RUSHON: We have had just awful weather this year both at home and on the road. I hope that we can get some good weather for a change and we hope to see a good crowd out to cheer us on. The fans last Saturday were amazing and really good to see. The players really appreciate the support of our fans.

We won 28-14 over the Raiders- playoffs round one.

so...l have been away and the marauders lost two games against two tough teams. now l know we have some great ballers on every team and any team can win on any given Saturday but the parity in this league is nuts. take for example the four remaining teams....we bet the Sault...they beat the maddogs and tricity...we lost to the Maddogs and Tri City.

it just goes to show that anyone can win this....

The Raiders are a much improved team from the first time we played them..and without some injuries l think they would have been a much tougher team to play. Even as it is...they play 60 minutes and are probably the fastest team in the NFC. The #1 kid is flat out the toughest guy to tackle...l think he has double jointed hips..the kid was the first RB to put 100 on our defense..thats no easy task( we haven't given up a 100 rusher all year...).

the game was closer than the score..they had three red zone turnovers...two picks one fumble.

but than again...there is no such thing as luck in football.

Ricky was Ricky....making plays and making me lose years off my life...

The Marauders showed why we are one of the best teams in the NFC...we played tough, smart and made just enough plays to win.
l am forgetting a few things...it was my first playoff win as a Headcoach. The Gatorade shower was funny...l was already soaked so it was all for nothing....Flex was the only guy to get me that l wouldn't chase...hey, he's bigger than me. Baiden ran like he always does...l don't see how he is not the MVP...( or at least in the running...100 yards on everyone he played?..no other back can say that).

our Dbs are awesome...but l wonder if they can tackle...hahaha.

00...ahhh, l was hoping for a score..you can blame Kirby for tripping you. hey Conrad...squeeze the rock.hahaha.

you D'Vid...hows the knee's.

so our team is heading to the next round...we play the mighty Sault Steelers...they are the NFC's best team..we are the lowest seed left so we travel the rest of the way. I think the the Steelers will be out to avenge their only loss this year and we plan on keeping the train rolling....it should be a fun ride. l see a hard hitting affair...it will take a A++ effort to win...but l have a feeling that we will play them tough...we are the MARAUDERS...we don't lay down for anyone.

60 minutes of football....win or go home...

LETS ROLL MILTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trof...not Cof...yep l get it ..sorry bro.

I'M BACKKKK!!!!!..my trip was amazing..but l'm ready for football.

l was in SD ...l was there for work.

l was signing in the Marvel booth with a few big time guys...l was the young gun.

tha Wolverine drawing was done by me for HASBRO...fun times.

l won't get into the trip..check my other blog for the ledkillalives.blogspot.com

l met Ahman Green from the packers...nice guy and a comic fan..although he is a batman fan, l will work on him being a Marvel guy.

so we lost two games to end up 4-4...still not a great record considering how talented we are. the playoffs are here and we get the RAIDERS. The Toronto Raiders are a talented team and we won by only 7 last time...sure they scored early and late but the final score was 28-21. we will have to be on point to get a win...l think we have the team to do well but in the playoffs but it's up to us.

lets roll Marauders...time to make it happen. Tuesday night it's on...

l heard some comments... not very original..but hey, you can only work with what you have. calling a fat black man...a fat black man seems kind of redundant.but don't forget....l'm talented.....and l'm sure putting bolt 'a' in slot 'b' is a childhood dream of yours....keep living the dream .hahaha...l love it.

life is good.

more crayon work...

this is what l can do with a crayon.....what can you do with a crayon....remember, stay within the lines. l goggled you and all that came up were coupons for a casino....but it's in a woman's name.

The Final word...

ok..here it is ladies.

l hope that 37 will play again and if he doesn't it will be sad for him. l understand that playing tough and dropping bombs are part of the game but when you use your head as a weapon bad things happen.

Baiden was only protecting himself...the player in question was coming in to give a crushing hit. those are the facts...he took a wicked hit, that he was intending for our player and was knocked out. if our player was hit and knocked back you all would have cheered...the fact that he got hurt is not part of the initial reaction to the hit.

we all clapped when he was helped off...don't get stupid.

how many other hits did you guys cheer for...l remember when our 85 got hit you guys cheered...because he was stopped dead in his tracks..did l tell you that he ruptured his achilles on that hit?..do you feel bad that you cheered?...why not..he got injured.

he didn't, but he could have.... injures are part of the game.

l am not the best coach...but you are not the best players so l guess we are even. l do this out of love for the game...you may not respect us..or me but we all respect the game.

talk about my career? that's rich.....you guys need to see a doctor..that kind of diminished mental acuity may lead to a bigger issue.

l'm a joker....l may even be a joke...but dude, l love my team and we have fun. l think it's funny that you can't take what you give out. l thought you guys were the champs....why hide how you feel...tell us how you will win it all...beat everyone....have no close games...run the table.

we have nothing to lose...you guys are already the champs....we all just don't know it yet.

thanks for coming by..these hits are helping us raise money.

as for the permits....hahaha..so funny, we were only trying to accommodate your request to not play that weekend. l switched that game and even though some key guys wouldn't be there we decided to stick with whatever would help get this game played..the league told me to change it back. l have the weekend booked...so don't say we didn't do what you asked. Sunday July 26th at 2pm. in fact..l won't be there..l have work....l know it's childish what l do for a living but beats making seat cushions on an assembly line.

l will make sure we lay down for you....we are the lowly Marauders after all.

sooo funny....l know l'm the worst coach in the league...but my mommy loves me.

The MIGHTY DOM.

dude..l'm having WAY too much fun.

Hey..this is my blog...if you don't like what l'm saying..don't come here. l do this for my team...but if you get mad at what l say...you have my deepest sympathy.....really, that was from the heart.

l'm hurt....

The mighty has spoken....what am l to do?

hahahahaaha....so funny. call me what you want...make fun of us...talk trash...make fun of what l do...it's all good.In the end...say what you want...l know l will.

l love my team...l won't allow you to down grade our efforts. EVER...

so we got no Class ehh? Crazycoacho is back

well l went to practice last night and l heard some garbage about us not giving our last opponent any respect and how we should no class by not clapping when your player was knocked out.

let me be clear...whaaaaa!!!!

Are you crazy?..you started talking trash from the get...told us we were lucky to beat the Soo...and that we have a terrible offense. etc..etc...that all might be true but here are a few things l know. Your QB is great...he ran and made things happen. the plays you ran are standard football 101. he made them work...not your amazing football knowledge...give me a break sunshine.

we showed no class?...hey, your boy came in to drop a kill shot on our rb...he got knocked out...that is some funny stuff. when you bring the wood and take back more lumber than you came with...it will be entertaining...sorry we got excited about it. ahh what the hell...YOUR BOY GOT KNOCKED OUT...it was funny as hell.

you guys are talented...but you got to kidding yourself to think its you...l'm smart enough to know that my players make me look good. l would never be so arrogant to think that l'm the reason why we are a good team. l give them plays and chances to do special things...they make it happen. any OC taking credit for amazing catches or great plays is an idiot.

don't ask me again for tape.....or make small talk with me again. This is supposed to be fun...l lost sight of that..let me tell you, your comments have inspired me...you want me to give you respect? what about us going from 2-6 two years ago to beating the Soo and being completive with you guys. you give what you get...don't apologize to me...think of how your team tried to hurt Baiden...did we do that to your RB?..no we didn't..why? because WE HAVE CLASS.

seeya later Sunshine..

oh and take your own advice , don't you remember what you yelled out when we were shaking hands..'' don't s#it talk...just take care of your team..yeah see you in two weeks''.. hahaha..l love it.

Practice times..

LBP is the new home for the next few weeks.

the Palmer field is where we will be holding our practices .

if you don't remember...it's were it all began . training camp BABY...!!!!

the dates are

Tuesday and Thursday

8pm to 11pm.

Lester B Pearson
1433 Headon Rd
Burlington , Ontario
L7M-1V7

Upper middle and Headon rd

Sarnia is next...they are looking for a win...lets get focused and get back on the wining track.

we lost 42-28 to the Outlaws.

before l get started..l hope your elbow is good Mr FLEX....you have been a cornerstone of the Marauders..get well soon.

The way we start games makes me wonder if we just like to make it interesting. we fumbled the opening kick off and gave a very good team great field position. they scored ..as all good teams should when you get a turnover in the redzone.

when we got the ball l called the easiest read of the day...l knew that they taped us the last week and saw that we ran the WR screen for aTD so l'm sure they spent time working on how to stop it...so we made an adjustment a ran a simillar play with a WR doing a 9....the result..TD. so 3 minutes in 7-7.

The Outlaws are an interesting bunch..they have a ton of talent...lots of great guys and a few talkers...just like us. the outlaws took advantage of our secondary and poor pass rush...we exploited their run defense and secondary. it was a good game but we made to many mistakes to win.

l made the biggest mistake as a coach...l addressed my team and like a man l apologized to my boys.

now for the facts...our punt returner..85mph ..torched them for 180 yards on 6 touches..he should have scored twice...the Outlaws kicker saved the day. we had a TD called back on a hold. and we threw a pick in the red zone...we let a TON of chances slip away..but thats football. we get breaks...we lose breaks.

the stats were pretty even ( about 370 for each team)...the fumbles and bad field position was the difference...we scored more points on them than any other team this year....but than again they did the same to our defense.

l will say that the way they talked surprised me( well to be honest we talked just as much)...l always knew they were good but it started in the parking lot.i kind of thought it was just guys having fun but the game had some questionable plays..cut blocks..jawing...that kind of stuff. make no mistake...l can jaw with the best of them but we all got jobs on Monday so maybe we can just play the game next time...if not l would hate to see someone get hurt.

Baiden rushed for 110 yards...he out rushed the Outlaw RB by 55 yards.....l guess Baiden is pretty good. l would also like to say a get well soon to number 37...that was a crazy hit he gave...sorry, took'..Baiden is like no other back..he will give as much as he gets.Hey, boys...read the label on the helmet...your helmet is not a weapon,it's for protection.

we lost...they won. in two weeks we do it again.

peace
Coach Ken

Thursday- team picture. make sure you look nice.black shorts and Cardinal jerseys.

730 warm up..8-1030pm

Marauders defeat the Steelers 22-14.

before l get started...l would like to say that we wish a speedy recovery to our Superback #34. he broke his arm in the game and we dedicate this win to him. heart and soul are hard to come by...he has that in spades.

The Sault Steelers came in 5-0 and were looking to beat us to make sure we had to travel to the Sault if we met up again in the playoffs...well, it didn't happen the way they would have liked and now we hold the tie breaker. the game was odd....they jumped out to a early lead and l heard some laughs and comments that they felt that we were not on their level. maybe we aren't..but we played a better second half and got the win.

our defense ...flat out , punched the Steelers in the mouth for 3 quarters. The run attack for the Steelers is their bread and butter...we play the run very ,VERY well. the tailback on the Steelers is very good and we limited him to 41 yards...on the other hand our RB 'the BaibenExpress'...ran for 103 yards. Baiden missed the first 10 minutes because he was at a wedding.

our special teams set us up all day....JHood, J-Earls.....your new nick name is 'The J and J Electric company....'

The Soo came out chucking....they got a few breaks and they did what good teams do...make you pay. Once we settled down and l figured out the play sheet..we took what they gave and l made our superior speed the focus, there is not a team in this league that can match our talent...sure you may have a few ballers but we are stacked with ballers at every position. heck, our QB situation is nuts...we can beat you 3 different ways.

we only had 3 o-lineman there...the guys filled in and made it work. maybe N-T is our new centre?...not likely but he played like a allstar.as did Kuz..Flex..Willard..Simon..Rouse(keep your head up)..Hicks..Des..most of these guys are not O-Lineman and they showed me that ballers can play anywhere.

we outgained them...out hit them...outplayed them. but only in the second half...we got thumped in the first quarter.l'm sure they would love to play us again...but like l always say..' it's not about what they do...it's about us''

l was told that this was a big win for us...maybe it is, l understand we have a long way to go...this is just one win but now we know that we can beat anyone...l'm sure the NFC knows now that Milton is for real.

next week we get the Tri City outlaws...it doesn't get any easier...but hey, if it was easy it wouldn't be any fun.

l love this team.

oh....what the heck..l'll say it.

two years ago you beat us badly, ran a two minute drill when you were up 41-0, tried to threw a 50 yd pass with 10 seconds left when you were up by 56-0....l watched your team not clap when our guys were injured and coming off...you came to our house with little or no respect. don't get me wrong..you have some class guys...l really like a ton of guys on that team but these are the facts.

we got no gifts...we earned that win.. if you don't think so...l don't care.

l write cheques...my guys cash them.

LETS ROLL

here is the article in the Sault star..enjoy.

">We committed far too many undisciplined penalties on offence, our defence took some dumb penalties and our special teams gave up a lot of punt return yardage. Steelers head coach Barry Rushon

Steelers finally bend

Posted By the sault star

PETER RUICCI

The Sault Star

So much for an undefeated season.

Putting forth what head coach Barry Rushon called “our weakest effort of the year,” the Sault Steelers dropped a 22-14 decision to the Milton Marauders Saturday at Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium.

Despite suffering their first loss of the Northern Football Conference season, the Steelers remain in first place in the eight-team loop with a record of 5-1.

With the score tied 14-14 and just 1:38 remaining, the Marauders recovered a lateral in the Steelers end zone to seal their fourth win against one setback.

“We didn’t play very well and all three of our units didn’t do the job they were capable of doing,” said Rushon, whose team is off this Saturday but returns to action July 18 with a home game slated against the Toronto Maddogs. “We committed far too many undisciplined penalties on offence, our defence took some dumb penalties and our special teams gave up a lot of punt return yardage.”

“I’m disappointed with how we played, but I’m not upset or angry,” said defensive tackle Brandon Lewis. “Milton gave us everything they had and they played a full 60 minutes. It’s hard to say what happened to us.”

When pressed, Lewis did say he felt as if the Steelers allowed themselves to get into a war or words with the Marauders.

“There was a lot of jawing going on between the two teams and that’s not our style,” he noted. “That didn’t benefit us. It took us out of our normal game.”

Prior to scoring the winning major, Milton was punting with the wind at its back from the Sault 50-yard-line.

Rushon said return man Kyle Gauthier fielded the punt in the Steelers end zone but, not wanting to surrender a single point, attempted to lateral the ball to his brother, Josh Gauthier.

“It didn’t work out,” Rushon said. “Milton recovered it for a touchdown.”

The Steelers were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on the play and, after adding the convert, the Marauders kicker took advantage of a short field by booming the ensuing kickoff through the Steelers end zone for a single point.

That completed the scoring.

“I’m not disappointed by Kyle’s decision,” Rushon said. “It was a spur-of-the-moment thing and I’m not going to second-guess what he did.”

Ron Kelly, on what Rushon estimated was a 65-yard scoring pass from quarterback Travis McLean, and Josh Gauthier, on a three-year run, gave the visitors a 14-0 halftime lead.

Neither a scoring summary nor game statistics were made available.

Despite the early lead, both Rushon and Lewis didn’t think the Sault deserved it.

“We were lucky to be up at the half,” the Steelers coach said. “We were given a gift.”

When asked if his team was overconfident, Rushon answered in the negative.

“We were just out of sync from the opening whistle,” he said. “We didn’t run or throw well and penalties took us out of what we wanted to do.”

Rushon also blamed the layoff, which was forced on his team by Kingston forfeiting the previous Saturday’s game at Rocky DiPietro Field.

“It was unsettling for our team to not play a scheduled game last week,” he said. “That took a lot of the wind out of our sails.”

For his part, Lewis thinks the loss to Milton might eventually provide a benefit.

“It’s certainly an eye-opener,” he said. “This lets us know we have to come to the field more mentally prepared at all times.”

Marauders vs Steelers...at IVOR WYNNE.

the Sault Steelers are coming to town and the game will be held at Ivor Wynne staduim. The home of the CFL team the Hamilton Ti-cats. The administration at Ivor Wynne are a first class bunch and we would like to thank Lisa for helping us out on such short notice. This year has had it's ups and downs and we intend on getting back on the horse with a win against the Sault...nothing will be easy...if it were they would call it something else other than football. l have watched our team grow from a weak team in 2007 where we lost to the Sault, to a hard fought very close game the following year...now we take the next step...WIN.

in order to be considered the best you must beat the best...

LETS ROLL BABY...first place is on the line.

Marauders lose 10-3 to Maddogs.

Well we lost .....The game was full of hard hits and miscues. Our offense could only muster 3 points and less than 150 total yards. make no mistake , the Maddogs are a very tough team and deserved to win but they could only muster 65 yards and no offensive scores. The rain made the ball very slick and both teams had trouble holding on to it.

Our defense is the best...bar none. we had 4 turnovers...and only allowed 10 yards passing and 53 rushing all day. That should have won us the game alone...but with one poor exchange we cost us a chance to remain undefeated. but make no mistake...the next game against the Soo will be a war. we fully intend to get back on the winning track ...we don't care who is next.

Even though we lost..l love the way this team feels about it. l saw tears of frustration and l love that..l saw a group ready to take the next step and start playing football. we are still one of the best teams in the league...it's time to show it.

football is not about the individual...

Milton beats Kingston 34-0. we remain undefeated..

The Marauders are 3-0 and rolling , we started a bit slow against a handful of ballers from Kingston. l remember the days when we had only 20 guys and did the same thing. The game was blown wide open in the second quarter when we started to roll ...the contest featured two amazing kick returns from our amazing rookie 'Jam85'...with the score 27-0 at half time we cycled in everyone that made the trip...( well l hope we did..we tried people). all 3 quarterbacks played and got some time in. we were very lucky to be able to do that..not very often do you get good reps against a good group like the Kingston team.

the game was a hard hitting affair and they had an injury to their best player Chad murray...l hope he is back next week he is a talented kid. The tailback(number 25) was a beast all day..that kid has tons of heart. the field was muddy and it was a perfect day for football. l would like to say thanks for the pizza( best Pizza in Kingston..TONY'S PIZZA..www.tonyspizzaonline.ca ) and our new Kingston ball boy..the mighty Dom.

l see tons of progress in our team.....but we need to work on the little things if we want to attain our goal of a national championship.

we pulled out our black uniforms for the game and although we have never worn a full black uniform l think it won't be the last time we roll with the black and Cardinal color scheme.

l got back some equipment that was owed to me ...thanks. your heart felt apology was well received and the way you took that helmet to the face showed us that even though you don't play for us ...you can still entertain us.

next week we get the Maddogs...it should be fun.

Milton Marauders vs. Toronto Raiders (Northern Football Conference) from Rimrock Media on Vimeo.

Marauders defeat the Raiders 28-21.

The Marauders take their record to 2-0 with a hard fought win against the Toronto Raiders. The raiders came to play and started well with a interception and they returned it to the one yard line, the score was 7-0 after 3 minutes...well that's when things got rolling for us and the Baiden express came to town.

The game plan was simple... give the ball to the best back in the league and let him roll. Baiden did just that...over and over again. l know people would like to think that because we have an amazing WR core that we are a passing team...(Vaughan would love to hear that) but we are many things and can beat you any way you would like. stack the box ...get your ass run on anyways. play 6 db's...we will pass anyways....hey, we have a balance attack.

the game itself was kind of odd...they scored early and late but we dominated most of the night. Ricky clarke and the other WR are a fast, smart bunch but when Foster went down we knew we had a chance at stopping their passing attack. the run game of the Raiders was not rolling because ..well, lets be honest, running on us has always been tough, now with our rotation of D-line...it is near impossible. imagine if Flex brought his bucket....how sick would our D-line be.

We as a team would like to say that we hope the injury to Mr Foster won't keep him out long...he is one of our leagues top talents.

alot was said about how l do things at Milton...it was pretty insulting to hear. l understand this is football and we have fun...but we don't need to do those sort of things...it's just silly to imply something else.

the next game is in Kingston and they are always a tough team...they don't lay down for anyone. l also heard some stuff from one silly guy...l know he doesn't speak for the kingston team...they have more class than that.

see you next week...clean pants and all.

Marauders win opener. Milton 24-Northbay 0.

The opening of the 2009 season had the new look Marauders getting a look at their new home and their new informs. l must say that we come out very flat and it took us a few series to get going . the Northbay team is much improved over last year and they will give some teams trouble like they did us . l see them being a team that will have a very good season and trust me when l say that they have ballers in the Bullddog pen.

the game was more about us then the Bulldogs, it may have been the opening day gitters...or the fact we are finding our identity...who know, but we started VERY slow but got a few breaks and we took it from there. We played very sloppy...6 turn overs, with those stats you rarely win. l saw some great things...our defense was amazing.

our offense scored on a balanced attack, it makes me proud that two years ago we lost games big when we played our best and now we are wining games when we play sloppy. l saw so many guys make plays that it would take me forever to give them some love. I will just say that...l'm ready to get rolling. and l see you at practice on Tuesday.

...oh yeah one more thing...One team...One focus...Marauderlove...who are we?

oh what the hell...

Flex..was never tired..wow, Rogermetal legs...colt 45(30)..Suicide squad..Dr lee..wheres my milk..haha.
#7..the white Vick ( before prison),Kirby gun,Kid None-z, Mitch got jacked by the QB..hahaha, Dav 3 tackles..?,D-line dominates...no sack serge, Hester North 85, O-line serving pancakes..open 24hrs a day , Hanniford can block..who knew?, sam got game, 35fullback needs to roll..but nice run,Vaughn needs to wear 88...can't play in 89 hahaha, Baiden is always Baiden...Radway looks better as a Marauder, Bj ..squeeze the td, #20 is rolling kids. 55 killer..56screwface...sammy Robo...more nick names to follow....

good to see guys at the game...Bumble bee was in the house.

l hear the Raiders are going to stomp us...they send texts to our players that say as much...maybe they will....but we all know that texts , messages...or emails don't win football games.

Coach Ken

lets get rolling next Saturday at 7pm at Corpus Christi
