Well the season came to a close a few weeks back and the Milton Marauders were well represented in the AllStar game. We had a few AllStars this year. l think that this up coming year will be one of the most successfull in franchise history. The amount of footballer's that have hown interest makes me believe that we will make some people very unhappy next season....don't be upset when we come into your stadium and make it our home.

more photo's to come.....

WE BEAT THE PANTHERS....but are out of the hunt.

Well we won...but are not in the playoffs because the Maddogs beat the Raiders.

ok...we won two games, but that is how it is in this league. Drew called the game as l was away in San Diego on business. l got updates right after the game and was told the good news....but l was also told the Maddogs won so we were elliminated as a result.

Well , l'm not sad , l love this team. we won two games ...we could have won at least two more. l would like to thank all the Marauders that decided to play ball for a new coach and an a rebuilding team....l would like to thank one guy who will not be back and with us....without his play we could not have had the great ground game we enjoyed this season. he knows who he is ...l love this dude. he could have played for the team down the street and l admire and respect that he didn't .

l could talk about this team for ever...l won't. l will say this ...next year we will kick your ass.

l would like to thank one more guy...the Coach of that team down the street helped me in more ways than l could have imagine. l wish all you NFC teams good luck in the playoffs.

The Steelers beat us....

we lost...the won. next question.

l said a few things that would not be classified as a 'good sport'...l don't care . We travelled to play a squad that is better than us and they beat up on us. l don't care how many Marauders came on the trip...we came to play but at some point respect for your opponent must factor in. We got embarrased ...but so what...l'm glad we got some points and they lost their shutout. small victories.

The Steelers have some great players and are some classy ballers and after the game they were a very respectfull bunch. l said a few things that ended up in the paper...do l regret saying those things..hell no, would l say it again hell yes. l wish them good luck on in the playoffs and l look forward to play you guys again.

WE WON...29-6 over a good Sarnia team.

Well it took us 6 weeks but now we have our first win. Sarnia Imperials came in and played us very tough. The weather was perfect for us...rainy and cold. The Sarnia run attack is the best in the league and the weather slowed them down as well as the fact that if you try and run on us you will get a full dose of Mc-Dav ...trust me it's no fun.

Baiden did what he always does...run ...run and score. he scored twice and added a few tackles...he is the best player in the league ..l don't care who is on your team ..Baiden is better, ask anyone we've played.

The score was close until we got a bit of a drive going in the third quarter and we never looked back , if not for a late score we would have shut them out...thanks ref's...15 plays from our 3 yardline and they got in on the last one..thanks Zebra's...hey! we are the home team.

Brandon....cool under fire.

Kirsh...nice catch, Dave-oldtimer ( you should have scored...watch the Safety!!!!). Barbados...2 sacks( should have had at least 5). Dav..( you are now returning punts next week..haha)...everyone played great and it's my first win as a Headcoach. l know it was Dave and Baiden who gave me the Gatorade shower....laps for you two....thanks guys. nice catch Hanni- better throw Hawkins....Drew and his poker face.......Andre and this 2 picks....( don't showboat...but l still love you). Crazy wopp...nice blocking...you owe me 15 yards.

l love this team...all the big boys played great- Miller-Ink-Norm-TommyT-Crazy're'tardo-Bigbucketbadpaintjob-Daryl(killyamomma)-thebig2tacklesFlexandHammer-Bumblebee(stinger)-Burkiesmoothness.

billy(can't catch Johnson)-Hanni(shutdown)-Super'Queens'-McGivl'otine'- SexyDavinator-#19shotgun special-allpurposeCastro-Superkick#14-Superpunter 'Killyster'-Mcfarlane(Spawnkiller)-#29the repairkid-if l forgot you....please don't be offended ,l'll get you a nickname at practice.

l salute you guys....all of you...thanks for making it worthwhile.

one more time next week..lets get a winning streak started....

Coach ken

Bev ....thanks. Bev's parents..thanks as well.

Oshawa has class...and we lost .

Well we lost ....lets be honest they were the better team that day. We put the ball on the ground three times and those mistakes killed three long drives. Now don't get me wrong....we lost 36-0 so a few missed plays was not the problem. we are playing better but because of our late start we are weeks behind other teams.

Now let me start this by saying a few things about Coach Donny....l have so much respect for him and the way he conducts himself. l have been around a few headcoaches and he is one of the best. l have been in this league for about 15 minutes so l don't know all of the people on different teams but so far Coach Donny is the class of the league....don't get me wrong...l would love to beat his team but aside from football he is just a good guy.

Oshawa is the best team we played this year. Tri-city is right there as well....l've heard the Sault is tough....should be a great race to see who plays us in the first round.....yeah ,l said it.

Sunday, July 1, 2007

WELL....WE LOST.

l could say a ton of things but we just got beat by a better team. Tommy Denison and his best buddy ( #88) torched us. l can say that we stopped the run pretty well but they just wanted to throw ,throw, throw and throw some more and that's just what they did.

l take the blame for this one....l need to be better and l will. count on it. Milton will get better...count on that as well.

Baiden scored twice and that's about all the offense we had....we did not play well and that's not the way the Marauders play ball. Lots of old faces but they didn't beat us ...we beat ourselves. We played worse than week one and this was the first game where our defense showed how tired they are of always keeping us in games.

Brandon had a few sparks of greatness and when he learns the offense we should win a few games.

The score looks like a blowout and it was ..but we just made so many mistakes . Next week we get the Oshawa hawkeyes not an easy schedule but we will be better .

To the Longhorns....you won....but every dog has their day and l look forward to playing you again.

MILTON 2007 VS MILTON 2006......SORRY, I MEANT LONGHORNS 2007

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&country=US&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&addtohistory=&cat=&address=2175+Lakeshore+Rd+W&city=Oakville&state=ON&zipcode=

This week we play Oakville at 7pm. at Bronte Field at 2175 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville.

Much has been said and although we pretend to like each other the Longhorns have no respect for us...but respect is always earned on the field so l 'll let my men take care of that themselves. l circled this game months ago but l realized....who cares. l don't respect the way some of the Longhorns conduct themselves ( they know who they are), l have great respect for some guys on that team they are just good guys but come 7pm on Saturday all of that goes out the window and we play ball.

l thought about an incident that happened last night at our sponsor bar, The Ivy Arms.......As a coach it was not the thing to do to an opposing teams player ,but if l was a player..l would have told the player in question that he needed to relax and don't get his panties in a bunch.

that this weeks game will be fun.....l love the subplots.

MARAUDERS IN THE MILTON CHAMPION

First win narrowly eludes Marauders
By Murray Townsend, SPECIAL TO THE CHAMPION
Sports
Jun 26, 2007
It counts as a loss in the standings, but for the Mara ders it was a win of sorts, despite coming out on the short end o a 15-13 decision Saturday against the visiting N
Football is a game of inches, but it was just one inch that kept Milton from tying the score with just over a minute remaining.

After blocking a North Bay punt, the Marauders took over on their own 52-yard line. A pass interference call gave them a first down and then Stuart Schiassi connected with a 43-yard throw and run to George Baiden. With calf muscles cramped up while breaking into the clear, he had to stumble the last 10 yards painfully before collapsing in the end zone.

Trailing 15-13, Milton needed the two-point conversion to even things up. All-pro linebacker Wayne McGillvary, who also took his turns at fullback, muscled the ball down to the goal line. He claims he made it into the end zone, but the referee said otherwise.

The Bulldogs were up the two points by accident in the first place. On their first touchdown, they tried for the extra point, but a bad snap created a scrambling situation. One of their players picked up the ball and ran with it, and got the two points.

This was the first game that the Marauders have been able to move the ball, thanks largely to Baiden, who totaled 127 yards on 21 carries and scored both touchdowns. The first came in the second quarter after the Marauders had fallen behind 15-0.

They started a drive from their own 32-yard-line. Baiden picked up big yardage several times, sandwiched around a Jamie Radway first down catch, finally taking it in the final 12 yards for the major.

Baiden did everything except mind the barbecue at the concession stand. He returned a punt for a touchdown that was called back on a penalty, returned kick-offs, played defense, and even recovered an on-side kick in the last minute, that too called back by a penalty.

Baiden's explanation for the team's offensive turnaround was as simple as getting more practice time together. "We had more reps as a unit. And the O-Line came with their A-game."

Defensively, the Marauders made several big plays, despite missing much of their secondary. The biggest came in the third quarter after a bad punt gave North Bay position on Milton's eight-yard line.

The Bulldogs decided to go for it on fourth and goal from about the three and Craig Davoren crashed through the line and brought down the running back before he could even think of going anywhere.

"It's still a loss," said coach Ken Lashley. "This is a game we should have won."

The team was missing seven regulars for various reasons, including eligibility, and with them in the lineup Lashley says, "We win this game hands down...and we still could have won."

Next week's game is the big one, at Oakville's Bronte Field Saturday at 7 p.m.

As if these teams didn't have a big enough rivalry already, the Marauders, now 0-3, are facing former coach Barry Emo and the 2-2 Longhorns, who have a couple dozen players who were with Milton last season.

"A lot of people are calling it a grudge match," said Lashley. "It's a game. We need a victory and they need a victory."

NORTH BAY GETS LUCKY

We lost to a team we should have bet yesterday.

They were the happiest group of players to see the time expire.....they knew they stole one. A bad snap taken in for two was the difference in a 15-13 loss. We were short 8 players from last week's game and that hurt us in the defensive backfield.

l read that the headcoach of Northbay said we are better than our record would show....he's partly right. We are better than our three losses would indicate. We out gained the Northbay team on offense and had several big plays called back for infractions. a kick return for a touchdown was taken off the board and a interception returned deep into Bulldog territory as well as a 50 yard run that put us on the doorstep .

our team is very competitive but our short bench makes for a long day of lronman football. Northbay say's they had a short bench but we have no bench so give me a break with that one. we had a two point game tying conversion at the end of the game that was called no good.....how close ...a few inches l was told.

that's Football...a game of inches.

l wish l could get mad at the Bulldogs but they are a fun bunch of guys who are all about ball...l know there is a history with the Bulldogs and l honor that but the group of guys l met at the fifth quarter were just a bunch of good guys .

Baiden ran all over them with 126 yards and a touchdown on the ground and one in the air....he carried us all day.

Turnball and Miller blew up the defense.

Mc-Dav killed anyone who wore yellow and black.

we played as a unit all day....we will beat some people this year.

We play Oakville next week...alot has been said about us playing them and l saw a few longhorns at our game taping us, l want to keep this as just another game in which we need a win . They are 2-2 and we are 0-3 so we are both not where we want to be. The new look Marauders look to get in the win column and we don't care who it comes against.....strap them up.

wait.....what am l saying.

Milton makes no excuses......we come to play.

Ken Lashley
Milton Marauders.

WE BATTLED...LOST BUT ARE EARNING RESPECT.

The Toronto Raiders beat us with a few good plays and stellar special teams.

but we are better than the score would indicate, we dropped a go ahead two point conversion and were only down one score late in the third quarter . To be honest we just ran out of gas.

a few key guys were missing but that is the case with every team but when you have 30 players a few guys means ''IRONMAN BALL'' ask Jason Burke how he feels today ....not too many WR can play DE all day get a few tackles and force a fumble.

l could say that about everyone...Dav ( all world, all day all night), Miller ( Mr Universe), Benet-zzzzoooo, Baiden ( best back in the league...period), McGill ( nice block....tell Drew he's a god), Mcleod ( gave us a chance with a amazing tackle), Prime time ( l love to see you run), Crispin...(sickness), Hanni-- (2 picks), Every big boy....Barbados, Attardo, Mr.INK, 'NORM' ( the all kill crew).

BB ...(killed people) , Dave ( Ageless one),Big boy #95,Billy the tackle wizard,Roger ( the clean break kid)- Kirshawn...( trueballer) -Radway ( the warrior)-Davis ( l'll do anything )-Charles ( l got you, coach)- Stu ( Halftime kid haha)-#27( kickergod)- and anyone l missed.....l'll do push ups for you.

my coaches...Mr. Hack and Mr Todd as usual you make me look good.

Bev is one firecracker... she is the teams backbone....l will never take her for granted.

Our Defense is nuts and kept us in the game. We are moving forward...not easy but l love a challenge.

l love this team...we are ballers...no chasing rings ...no excuses ...just playing ball.

we go for a win this week...but how is that different from any other week.

BILL HICKS JOINS THE FOLD

Bill Hicks the out spoken footballer is now a Milton Marauder. He is a character guy with a wealth of Knowledge and football smarts. Mr Hicks is a fellow 'big boy' so we both understand the finer points of the o-line and how crucial it is for a teams success.

Bill Hicks is the kind of o-lineman every team would love to have but better yet he is a stand up guy. Oshawa was a team full of talented players and we are proud and lucky to get one the best o-lineman to suit up last year.

Welcome MR Hicks.

The Marauders will be a new team with a ton of talent more to follow.....

Oshawa is a class organization, when we played them last year they showed why they were the best of the NFC , they played tough, clean and with determination, Craig Davoren is a player that best showcased these attributes and we are proud to have him on our team.

This is a big day for the new look Marauders , with signing like this we are moving towards out ultimate goal of a National title.

Milton Marauders new era beings

The Milton Marauders are headed in a new direction , not really 'new' but just with a different mindset. l have been offered the chance to uphold the tradition of quality football that has been the Marauders legacy for the past few season's. l intend to run this team like l do the rest of my life with class and dignity. l realize ,like any coach should know, that players win games and championships, coaches guide and lead , but in the end the players decide if they want to win or not.

l have played at a high level and been given the oppurtunity to coach at various levels and one thing always rings true, if you are not a person of character this is not the game for you. lt takes great pride and resilience to play football and because you can run and throw does not make you a great player...that is only one part of the equation .

'' strap them up''

l am the new Head Coach and this is the first statemant from me .
